École des Sept-sommets

Rossland

École des Sept-sommets in Rossland opened in 2004. Fourteen students from kindergarten to grade 4 were enrolled in the school’s first year.

In 2013, the school celebrated its 10th anniversary with 47 students enrolled from kindergarten to grade 6.

The CSF and the Fédération des parents francophones’ claim before the Supreme Court of British Columbia:

Obtain a new kindergarten to grade 7 school on a site large enough to allow for future enrolment growth.

Court’s decision:

The CSF and the Fédération des parents francophones succeeded in settling the matter concerning Rossland during the litigation. The CSF has acquired the former Maclean Elementary School building in Rossland. It has been operating a school in that building since 2012, and school enrolment has been on the rise since then.

Current project

The CSF acquired the school in 2012.
